Suniel Shetty talks about his fondest Republic Day memories of childhood
The stage is being set, but it's not going to be easy to remake 'Arth' (1982). Producers Ajay Kapoor and Sharat Chandra, who bought the rights from Kuljit Pal, know it. Ditto for Revathi, who has been asked to hold the film's directorial reins. Two days ago we heard that Bobby Deol was going to play Kulbushan Kharbanda's role and as ETimes talks to Sharat and Revathi today, they tell us, “Bobby hasn't yet signed up, but we are hoping that he will. If all goes well, it will be him. He fits the role as a T and will do ample justice to it. Our plan to remake 'Arth' was going on for two years and finally we think we are ready to roll.”
After leaving everyone impressed with her acting chops, actress Kangana Ranaut added an extra feather to her cap as she turned director for ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. She not only did justice with her new role but also put in her blood and sweat as an actor, quite literally. As the film completes 2 years today, ETimes got in touch with the ‘Dhaakad’ actress who spoke at length about her directorial debut which also achieved a feat at the box office.
